Volunteering

This is a JOINT festival organised between Halton CAMRA and The Castle, Halton and we need CAMRA volunteers to help throughout the festival, from set-up through knock-down. So if you are an experienced festival volunteer or what to learn how a festival is organised, please offer your time and energy to make this first Halton CAMRA festival a ripping success. In the first instance, please contact: Beerfest Organiser.

Parking

There is NO PARKING at this event. Please use public transport or local taxi services. Arrangements are being sought with local car parks to facilitate parking near the event - if this happens that will be a 10-15 minute walk away from the venue. Note that the venue is up a "stiff" hill. Arrangements can be made for dropping off at the venue. Blue Badge holders requiring access should contact the event organisers direct. See the FAQs (How do I get to the event) on the festival website.

Challenge 25

If you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked to prove that you are aged 18 or over when you buy alcohol. If you are under 18 you are committing an offence if you attempt to buy alcohol. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked to prove that you are aged 18 or over when you buy alcohol. Challenge 25 is a retailing strategy that encourages anyone who is over 18 but looks under 25 to carry acceptable ID (a card bearing the PASS hologram, a photographic driving license or a passport) if they wish to buy alcohol. If you are under 18 you are committing an offence if you attempt to buy alcohol. If someone sells alcohol to (or for) someone under 18, they risk an unlimited fine.
